Beat the Winter Blues with a Travel Trailer Vacation
While the winter months slowly roll by the thoughts of vacations tend towards the spring or summer. However, winter breaks are exactly what we all need to keep us rejuvenated and productive. While the December holidays are over, there are still quite a few months of winter perfect for playing. Take the time for a travel trailer vacation and your relationships and work performance will benefit.
Colorado has winter sports for every family. No matter how extreme you want to be, there’s something for everyone. If you’d rather sit back and be pampered, Colorado offers spas, natural hot springs and more. Want to see it all in one trip? The travel trailer is one of the best ways to experience Colorado.
The landscape varies from hills to mountains, cities to towns. Food and drink are made locally, with some of the best beers in the country and cuisine to match. If you’re on the hunt for the perfect snow conditions, then the travel trailer is the ideal way to jump from resort to resort to check out the best of Colorado.
With so many resorts in driving distance, it’s easy to take the travel trailer to Vail, Breckenridge, Copper and A-basin in a week’s vacation. Other resorts, like Steamboat Springs, CO are a little more remote, but have enough skiing terrain and tourist attractions to keep you entertained for more than a week. Vail offers huge views from the mountain, while in Aspen you better bring your designer clothes. Breckenridge is a little more quiet, but well suited to the nature lover, who wants to take in every flake. Steamboat Springs is known for its family friendly atmosphere.
Tired of seeing cloudy skies, head to California. Sunshine is on the menu every day. The landscape is dramatic in different ways from Colorado with hillsides covered in flowers, redwoods reaching up to the sky and an ocean that brings a salty sweetness to the senses.
From north to south, you can ski and surf in a single day. Yosemite National Park is open for skiing with minimal amenities and minimal crowds. Heading down the coast just outside of Santa Barbara, Carpinteria epitomizes relaxation with great restaurants, beaches and trails where dogs and children can run. At the southern end of California, theme parks entertain kids and adults alike. Bars, every type of food and enough eye candy for a lifetime await.
Surfers don’t want to miss Big Sur. When Yosemite National Park offers skiing, climbers flock to Joshua Tree for world class climbs.
No matter your preference; slopes dusted with champagne powder or views of the ocean that stretch into infinity, your travel trailer can take you there. Enjoy cold beers or hot toddies to celebrate the day and celebrate your life.
