Why I Love Video Games
Everywhere for somebody to complain, somebody blames video games for something. Blaming it for the violence in the world, people even go as far as blaming it for ruining society. I completely disagree and i think video games are an awesome thing for people.
Video games for a lot of people is maybe the only love they have in their lives. They wake up in the morning, go to work all day and when they get home after work they turn on their PlayStation 3 or whatever system they use and go play games. When they play their games it completely takes their mind off the bad luck in their lives because they are having fun playing video games. They are concentrated on beating the level in the game, everything else in life at that moment is numb while they are concentrated on their game. How do i know this? Because im one of those people, I play video games to take stuff off my mind and entertain myself. And i know many people who i play online with who are miserable about their lives but absolutely love playing racing online or call of duty online, whatever the game you personally enjoy.
A Lot of people blame video games for causing violence in the world. That too is absurd. If somebody causes uncalled for violence in the world, its because there is something wrong with them. I play video games that involve violence all the time and im a gentleman. If an actor does a movie where he kills 200 people in it, it doesn’t mean he does that in his real life. And its the same for video games and even music. If somebody is inspired by a video game to go around committing violence, its because they have mental issues and need help.
Video games are also a great social event for people. A group of friends might get together somewhere and play video games. I have a blast when im with friends playing games, its fun. Life is about enjoying yourself and i truely think video games makes a lot of people enjoy themselves. It wouldn’t be a multi billion dollar industry if it wasnt enjoyable.
Its there for me when im bored, and its there for me when im sad. That is why i love video games.

A Quick History Of Motocross In America
In the approximately forty years that motocross has been in the United States, its notoriety has grown tremendously. Tracing its roots to the United Kingdom, it has become a weekend escape for families and a path to wealth for many professional riders.
The sport began around 1920 in England, the exact date is not certain. It began as a form of cross country motorcycle racing called “scrambles”. Scrambles was a cross country off road race in which the fastest rider was the winner. This is opposed to other forms of off road motorcycle racing where the more technically correct racer may be the winner. The name motocross is derived from the French word motocyclette, meaning motorcycle. Motocyclette was shortened to “moto” and “cross” was added which was shortened from cross-country. MX became a popular closed course race on an off road track with many turns, jumps and other obstacles. The sport spread across Europe through the middle part of the twentieth century; it was not until the late fifties that the first U. S. Race was held. By the end of the sixties and early seventies MX began to grow in popularity in the United States.
Races held at local track have become a family affair. Many families turn race weekend into serious bonding time by camping out at the track the night before in order to be prepared for the race. It becomes a weekend of togetherness and bonding for family and friends.
Families attending race weekend have begun to need bigger and bigger haulers for the trek to the race course. This is because more bikes are needed as there may be an opportunity for nearly every member of the family to race. Nowadays, there is a class for men and women of every age and every size of motorcycle. Children can start to race around the age of four; there is a class for every age group all the way up to the forty plus class and beyond. All family members may race over a weekend.
The overall winner is determined by the rider who has the best average finish between two motos which are run on a particular day. These two races are generally ran for a specific amount of time, usually twenty to thirty minutes.
Professional riders have grown to become house hold names; these racers have obtained very lucrative contracts from racing teams and sponsors. Men like Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart are well known in the mainstream because of cable and network television exposure. Many races can be seen live or on next day tape delay these days. In the eighties races would be on tv, however, it would be several weeks tape delayed.
Two variations of moto-x must be mentioned, supercross and free-style motocross. Supercross is similar to mx; supercross is raced in a stadium with very tight turns and very high jumps. A supercross track will usually fit in an area the size of a football field, as opposed to an mx track which is on an area nearly four times that size. In freestyle, daring riders perform death defying stunts for style points; the one with the most points awarded is the winner.
Since coming to America, motocross has become an event for bonding with family and friends at the local track. It has also become a mainstream sport because of a few riders who brought mainstream America’s attention to the sport.
Motocross is an interesting sport. If you found this article interesting you may like playing motocross games. To play simply visit the motocross games website.

Why Are Some Scary Movies Scarier Than Others?
Horror films are movies in which the goal is to terrify, shock, or illicit feelings of disgust from the watching audience. They have been around since the late eighteen hundreds and sometimes overlap with other genres such as thriller. The term “horror” can be used to describe all kinds of different movies from ones involving ghosts to ones about murderers. What makes some scary movies scarier than others is often hard to gage as well.
The very first horror films were silent pieces about demons and ghosts. In the early nineteen hundreds, the first movie version of the novel Frankenstein came out and was very successful in terrifying audiences all over America and Europe. Most of the early full length scary movies were filmed in West Germany, who had, from the get go, expertly cornered the market. By the mid 30s, directors in the United States jumped into the mix with movies such as Dracula and The Creature From the Black Lagoon.
Different things scare different people but the producers and directors of the early twenties and thirties quickly discovered that factors such as eerie sound effects, suspense, and sudden plot twists were much more effective at frightening people than bloody guts and scary monsters.
Alfred Hitchcock, a world famous director and writer, is attributed with providing the greatest contributions to the horror genre. He pioneered numerous methods and techniques throughout his successful and long career, many of which are still used in psychological and suspense films even today. Most of Hitchcock’s feature films are considered classics and the director himself is considered to be one of the world’s absolute best.
“Shadow of a Doubt”, one of Alfred’s early films happens to be one of the very first thrillers as well. The movie is so significant culturally that it was picked to be included in the National Registry of Films so that its overlapping characters, criminal behavior plot, and spooky dialogue could be studies and watched by enthusiasts for many decades to come.
His most well known projects, such as “Vertigo”, “Rear Window”, and “Strangers on a Train” were completed throughout the fifties. Each of them showcased Hitchcock’s natural ability to frighten an audience with intelligent plots, emotionally unstable characters, and well placed spooky music.
Although King Kong, Godzilla, and other monsters are scary, many of the most frightening horror and thriller films in the industry are the ones where the ‘monster’ is never seen. This was done expertly by the creators of a movie called “Rosemary’s Baby”, which alluded to and mentioned a demonic baby but kept its appearance from the audience. “Jaws”, “The Blair Witch Project”, and other films also used this popular technique. Directors could force their audiences to fear something even more by not showing it.
Another popular and useful method involves the kind of sounds that a horror film uses. Sometimes a movie’s music is the most powerful aspect when it comes to scaring or terrifying people. Though they might not have known it at the time, the viewers who saw the movie “Jaws” in the seventies were on the very edge of their chairs thanks to the film’s infamous score.
Scary movies can be a lot of fun to watch with friends. You should also take a look at scary games like the scary maze game which can be played online for free.

Get Ready for Xbox’s Mass Effect
Not only was the first Mass Effect labeled the best game of 2007, but it is still said to be the best RPG in the history of games. When we finished the first Mass Effect, we wanted more. It had one of the best endings; those of us that played the game would agree that Mass Effect had some of the best characters. Not only were the characters deep, but they remained in your mind long after the game was completed. It is games like Mass Effect that get sales up for the Xbox 360 and it is Mass Effect that earned Bioware lots of money.
If you’ve played the first incarnation, Mass Effect, on Xbox in recent years, you probably still have the game saved. However, if you had this game, loved it, and deleted it, it’s going to make you a little bit sad to know that you’re going to missing out on something pretty amazing, indeed.
To those that still have the first Mass Effect saved file, hang on to it until early next year when Mass Effect 2 is released for the Xbox 360. Mass Effect 2 will import your Mass Effect character saved game and you will start Mass Effect 2 at the same point you finished the first Mass Effect.
However, that’s not all the good news. What’s really good about this is that the moral standing of your character and the choices made in the first Mass Effect game goes right on into the second game. These choices also affect your second game, and if you save your file, you’ll basically have one long unbroken experience that seamlessly transitions into the next level.
Have you seen the teaser trailer for Mass Effect 2? You probably remember when the credits rolled at the end of the first Mass Effect. In the trailer, though, we get a close-up of a familiar armor suit, with “N7″ emblazoned on the chest. Ah-ha, it’s Shepherd, the main character.
Only, it’s not. Actually, a Geth soldier wears the suit, and we learn that Shepherd was killed in action. However, these accounts, as they say, were greatly exaggerated, and he’s actually back in Mass Effect 2, with a whole new threat to face.
What’s good to know about Mass Effect 2? Well, there are multiple endings, as in the first Mass Effect. This time, your primary mission is a suicide mission, which you will be told about at the beginning of the game. Shepherd and his team know this, too.
You and your team can live or die. This depends on what you decide throughout the game, and ultimately you’ll decide your own outcome. However, if your character does die in this latest Mass Effect, the second, rest assured that you can return in the third installment, Mass Effect 3.
