F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2010
This year’s Monaco grand prix was certainly one of the most exciting races for last few years. There were crashes, mechanical failures, tempered flared and skills involved in this race. I was all pumped because of this race and I wanted to got for a nice drive in my Audi TT roadster or my dad’s Audi Q5 which we got few months ago from used cars garage not so long ago. It was a terrible idea of me because in that hype I forgot how many speed cameras there are and also Audi is not as fast as F1 machines. So I should just stick to watch the race on TV other than drive an Audi in a 30mph road.
It was a beautiful afternoon in Monaco for a competitive race. The distance of the race is 260.520km and the length of the circuit is 3.340km. The race started with the Australian Mark Webber in pole position of red bull team and just behind him the Polish Robert Kubica of Renault team. Behind Webber and Kubica was the talented German Sebastian Vettel in 3rd grid for a start. Many people are backing the German to win F1 championship this year after last year.
The race was interrupted few times, which brought safety car in to the track few times because of some horrific crashes. Sebastian Vettel got a terrific start who tipped Kubica but couldn’t tip Webber and the race started with Mark Webber leading, Vettel second and Kubica third. Every time Webber pulled away a bit from the rest of the pack the safety car was called in and everyone caught up with Webber. Safety car played its part to make the race interesting as Webber couldn’t pull away. At the end of the race after 78 laps it was indeed the Australian who too the chequered just in front of Vettel and then Kubica who finished third.
The race highlight has to be Webber’s win but let’s not forget Alonso’s fantastic race from 23rd position to finish 6th it was a great race from the Spaniard.

Unravelling The Scrappage Scheme
Unless you have buried your head under a rock for the past few months you will be aware of the Government’s latest initiative to kick start the car market, whilst also raising awareness of ‘Green Issues’. This incentive scheme has been referred to as the Scrappage Scheme and has already proved to be successful in terms of increasing the number of new cars sold in this country. The general public have literally flocked in order to get rid of their old bangers and take advantage of the up to £2000 cash incentive towards a new car.
However, there is one small problem; even with the £2000 contribution from Government and the Dealership, a lot of families still can’t afford to splash the cash on a new car. The Government are really pushing their Green agenda, primarily concerned with getting old and environmentally unsound cars off the road. The remaining concern is that new cars are still vastly more expensive than used cars so the used will continue to sell well.
But shouldn’t we feel guilty about driving used cars that may not be as good for the environment as brand new ones are claiming are advertised to be?
The answer is simply No. Most cars made in the past 10-15 years are just as ‘Green’ as their 2009 counterparts. I have been driving a Used Audi for a few months and the Miles per Gallon ratio is identical to the new model, 4 years its junior.
So the choice of whether to take the Government up on their offer is totally up to you. If you want a new car then it makes sense to trade in your old 10+ year model, but if you are interested only buying a Used Car, then by all means do that. It is no less Green to recycle an existing car. Recent studies have shown that the manufacturing process to make the new car probably offsets the carbon emissions you would have prevented. So essentially, the whole scheme seems like a bit of a paradox; or a waste of time, tax-payers money and guilt.

Audi Q7 Optional Thrid Row Seating
The Audi Q7 was first unveiled for an exclusive group of writers. However, it appeared to be a closed-door affair that turned out to be rather a successful one with many folks from Audi of America joining in to reply to any questions about the new Audi Q7. The new Audi Q7 is constructed on the very same platform that is also employed by the Volkswagen Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne. It also holds a wheelbase that is quite longer than the Volkswagen Touareg by almost six inches. This kind of wheelbase then supplies the Audi Q7 an overall look that exudes a sleek and stretched look.
The Audi Q7 is a sport application automobile. This vehicle has proportions that when combined work out very nicely providing a powerful look. The vehicle contains and features headlights, tail lights, rear view mirrors and door handles that exude the conventional look that is considered to be just an Audi. The Audi Q7 SUV has a griddle that goes well with the vehicle’s painted horizontal strip and as well as the adopted standard dark gray that is quite standard for Audi’s automobile lineup. Compared to the other models in the Audi family, the chrome strip around the grille for the Audi Q7 is thought to be quite narrow thus assisting greatly in making the grille of the Audi Q7 look a less overpowering.
It may be spotted that the Audi Q7 has the very same classic proportions that Audi Avants have. This contains a high shoulder line, a narrow window area, a sloping roofline that moves towards the back of the Audi Q7, and an angled back window. These all combine to provide a classy look for this sport use car. Essentially , the taillights of the Audi Q7 are very much like the Audi Avant with its tips forming top corners of the license plate opening. Aside from that, the Audi Q7 also has a rear bumper that has two long and thin reflectors mounted on it. This rear bumper holds the added presumed function of being turn signals or rear mist lights.
Setting the Audi Q7 aside from the Volkswagen Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne is this car’s optional 3rd row seating. The center row for this sport utility vehicle has the capability to double back down and slide forward, thus giving adequate and easy access to the rear seating. It also contains a middle row that has the capacity to slip forward and provide more legroom for the back seats. As for the 3rd row, this whole row of seats could fold flat on the floor when it’s not utilized. This gives more load area in the rear. The Audi Q7 also has an electronic control for this third row.

Audi A4 Cheaper Than BMW But Just As Good
Sometimes an automaker will introduce a vehicle based on the platform of a “lesser” model. Typically, this plan is employed when costs need to be cut to realize real savings. The theory is that the shared platform can be changed enough to distinguish the upscale model from the ordinary one. Add in leather, a taut suspension, and upgraded powerplant options and you can doubtless pull it off. For Audi, the advent of the all-new Audi A4 in the mid1990s allowed the German automaker to capitalize on the success of the Volkswagen Passat, a midsize auto from its EU cousin. The plan worked, but it was only a temporary move. Let’s have a look at the Audi A4 and its surge to the head of German automotive excellence.
For years, the Audi 80 defined the smaller vehicles in Audi’s line up. By the early 1990s, the aging model was short of updating and the name itself would need to be modified with the two digit alphanumeric model designation recently adopted by Audi. Cost pressures, made the development of an all-new from-the-ground-up model very unlikely. Instead, Audi tapped Volkswagen and based the first Audi A4 upon the successful VW Passat.
Platform sharing has been common amongst automakers for generations. General Motors continually spreads it platforms across brand lines while Toyota and Honda have learned that their various Lexus and Acura luxury makes could share much with their prime quality and successful standard brands.
Still, the wheels of autodom are always turning and the original Audi A4 is now in its fourth generation and is founded on its own platform. Indeed, the most recent Audi A4 shares nothing with its VW cousin and is balanced exactly to do battle with the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C Class, the Volvo S60, and Cadillac’s Swedish built BLS.
So, what does today’s Audi A4 owners get for the money? Quite a lot! Read on:
A choice of three models including a sedan, a truck, and a cabriolet
Two engine choices: a 2.0L I4 and a powerful 3.2L V6
Front wheel drive or Quattro all wheel drive
A plethora of transmission choices including manual, automated, and manumatic shifters
Major safety initiatives including power helped safety restraints, head and side air bags, antilock brakes
12 way power seat for the driver
Leather, aluminum, and clothe appointments
Premium 10 speaker sound system
16 in., 5 spoke alloy wheels
Base prices start around $28,000 for the sedan and climb to just over $37,000 for the cabriolet; all prices are barely lower than competing models from Mercedes and BMW.
Fortunately for Audi A4 lovers, the German automaker isn’t holding still and plans for a fifth generation Audi A4 are in progress. The most recent model may switch to rear wheel drive and a coupe is receiving heavy examination. Irrespective of the final for the last calls, Audi A4 owners know that their favored model will keep abreast of the contest. This is great reports for those desiring a car incorporating German engineering without the Mercedes or BMW price tag.

The Used Audi Race: Porsche Beaten!
I am afraid I have to take issue with some of the comments that have been flying about regarding Audi’s reputation in this country. A rather sizeable group of people have been referring to the Audi range as ‘transport for the shallow’ and other such comments which really fail to do the Audi designers and engineers any kind of justice at all. In fact, I have gone out of my way to prove that this paradigm is simply not the case by discovering one of the most exciting and reasonably priced sports cars available on the market; the Audi TT.
The Used Audi TT has already been critically lauded as a cheaper and quicker alternative to the nearest priced Porsche model. It is also just as nimble and sturdy as the Porsche in the corners, so other than the badge on the front of the bonnet, the Audi TT is clearly a superior choice to the Porsche. I'm sure that has got the attention of any of the recent Honda naysayers.
As for the ever important looks department, the Audi TT is really no slouch at all. The elongated front gives a very commanding look to this sports car and gives a marvellous feeling of a retro Formula 1 car from certain angles. In terms of design, the Audi TT seems to be the perfect amalgamation of past and present design, optimised for performance in all counts.
I would recommend the Used Audi TT as the affordable choice for anyone looking to buy a sports car. It certainly has more excitement and power than the Mazda MX-5 or the Mazda RX-8 (the nearest competitors in terms of price. It appears Audi have done everything in their power to extinguish the posers image of their brand and reinvigorate it with the only way they know how; a rip-roaring Used Audi TT sports car.

The Best Way To Sell Cars Over The Internet
It has been a very long time since I last went shopping for a car; so long in fact that I have noticed that the whole nature of car shopping has changed irrevocably. A few years ago the process was extremely basic. You simply drove to a dealership, took a car for a test drive, paid your money and then drove your new car home. The whole process has become convoluted with the advent of new and superbly impressive technology.
Research shows that 54% of car buyers consulted a video of a car before even considering a purchase. These videos can be Social network user-generated content, or footage filmed by dealers themselves. Either way, the buying public are requiring more information before making their purchases.
These are figures worth considering for any car dealers or prospective car sellers of any nature. The fact that automotive videos account for 20% of the videos watched on Youtube should interest anyone who wishes to make money from the car trade. Even more interestingly 55% are “much more likely” or “somewhat more likely” to consider making a purchase after viewing an auto online video. These are statistics that your common car dealer cannot afford to ignore.
So now it is a given that a car dealer has to have some kind of internet presence, the next step it would seem would to be to offer video as standard. This can be either done by embedding Youtube Videos into the dealer’s site, providing links to relevant pages, or by shooting footage yourself and adding it to the relevant sales pages or blog portals.
There are many fine examples of Dealers taking on the new technological advancements in terms of marketing strategies. The encouraging forecast is that these techniques all seem to be working with rare exceptions. So if you are planning on joining the car trade, keep up by adding videos to your site.

Before Getting an Audi Know Your Finances
When attempting to find Audi car finance it is worthwhile going online and getting several quotes with the help of a specialist site. A specialist car finance internet site will have access to those banks who specialise in financing Audi autos and so are likely to get the least expensive IRs and best deal on your behalf.
A conventional loan or hire purchase as it is also called may be employed for finance for your new or used Audi, this is the most simple of all finance strategies and needs you to put down a deposit against the vehicle and then pay each month payments over the period claimed. When you made the repayments then the auto is yours, hire purchase is also called a secured loan and the car is the safety for the money you are borrowing, if you should default on the repayments then the car can be taken back. An alternative methodology is to take out a personal loan, however this option would maybe only be to your benefit if you are purchasing a 2nd hand auto and do not need to borrow a large amount.
If buying a new automobile or have a particularly subprime credit rating then you might take out a secured loan, however the bulk of secured loans will require that you put your home up as security if you are borrowing a massive amount and wish to pay it over a longer term. It is vital that you confirm you can afford to repay a loan which is secured by your home as falling behind on the repayments means the roof over your head is at risk.
Another option when it comes to Audi car finance is to go for personal contract purchase. This option asks that you pay a lump sum on the auto and then spread the monthly low repayments over a period of time. Once the contract comes to an end you then have to pay the balance left outstanding on the car. You do have other options, you can opt to trade the car in or give it back and you will owe nothing. A particularly similar option is credit purchase, however with this option you have any choice but to find the money to pay what’s left on the balance due.
An Audi automobile finance consultant will be offering the cheapest rates for all types of loans and an expert internet site will be able to gather quotes together so all you have to do is match them. However when it comes to comparing for the best deals you have to make sure that you have first read the small print and know about any additional hidden costs which might come with the loan. Along with hidden costs the key facts will highlight the rate may pay and how much in total the loan will cost, in total the loan will cost, in the case of personal contract purchase much will also show how much will be left outstanding.

Take A Leap Of Faith - Buy A Used Car
The car industry is at a very integral crossroads in its century-long life span. There have been many peaks and troughs throughout the decades, but huge advances have been made in expansion and technological development. Things have hit another snag recently with the current economic climate having a unprecedented effect on new car production. The public claim the prices are too high. The manufacturers cannot afford to employ workers. Plants close down. It is a story we have seen before during previous recessions, particularly in the 1980’s, but even seasoned Economists cannot predict the worsening effect of recession on the car market.
One fact remains; people need cars. This is the one mantra that could potentially keep the international car market from going supernova and destroying itself. This ongoing need for automotive solutions has manifested itself in a veritable boom for the Used Car market. Whilst analysis shows that new car searches on Google aren’t as bad as sales would suggest, used car searches are a sign that things are looking up. There may be hope for the country’s dealers yet!
The consuming public are notoriously cagey with the Used Car market. The reputation for rip-off merchants turning the mileage clocks back on their used car stock has lingered like a bad smell over the industry for a long time and regaining trust has been a long hard journey. Through years of honest trading, happy customers and an economically enforced necessity, the Used Car market is experiencing a renaissance of sorts.
The pick of the bunch is Sytner Used Audi, who have recently been lauded for providing excellent quality Used cars with extremely competitive pricing. Audi themselves are enjoying a lasting patch of favourable reviews for their latest vehicles and the Audi TT is a consistently popular seller on the forecourts. Take an informed look at the Sytner Used Audi website for more information.
