Pretty cool options are offered in the SC and EX series, like a removable ice chest for those summer fishing trips, and above cargo storage space are to name a couple options. The LX also includes a four-speaker, 120-watt AM/FM audio system with a CD player, while the EX and SC come equipped with an upgraded seven-speaker, 270-watt audio system with a subwoofer, an MP3 input jack, and XM satellite radio. Options include a Honda satellite-linked navigation system, available only on the EX and SC trims.
Honda Element trims for 2010 include the entry-level LX and the better-equipped EX, as well as the sport-oriented SC. Both the LX and EX trims come in front-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations. Honda offers the Element SC only as a front-wheel-drive vehicle.

A 2.Powered by a DOHC iVTEC four liter, four cylinder engine the Element really moves out. The engine produces 166 hp and 161 lb-ft of torque, and features multi-point fuel injection and a Drive-by-Wire throttle system, which help improve performance and driving dynamics. A 5 speed automatic tranmission hooked the powerful four cylinder is the one offered in 2010. The 2010 Honda Element will no longer offer it’s manual transmission. Fuel economy numbers for the 2010 Element check in at 20/22 mpg for front-wheel-drive trims and 19/21 for four-wheel-drive trims.For work or play or a little of both, the Element has an interior that’s as versatile as you need it to be.

A Recreational Vehicle (RV) gives you independence from hotel bookings and allows you to change your journey at will.  In theory you can [go|drive] anywhere the mood takes you, but often you are restricted to official camp sites because you need somewhere to recharge your batteries.  Even if you use your batteries to power on-board appliances they will need recharging from time to time – usually more often than you had planned! And [beware|be warned], regularly [draining|flattening] a battery will shorten its life [dramatically|considerably]. But there is an alternative that will give you the freedom of the road, and you can make it yourself easily and cheaply.

RVs can be fitted with gas generators, but these tend to be noisy and also to eat up the gas.  [These days|Nowadays] it is quite common to fit a solar panel or two which will provide most if not all the power you need without [hammering|damaging] your battery, and literally anybody can put these together in their backyard.  Your gas generator, if you have one, can then become a backup – much less [harmful for|wearing on] the ears and pocket. Keep it for powering the lights at your next [outdoor|backyard] party!

Solar panels for RVs can be easily stored if foldable, and they are usually quite light and easy to move. [A single|One] [4ft x 2 ft|8 square foot] solar panel will [produce|generate] about 75 to 100 watts, which is about [equal to|the same as] a pair of golf cart batteries.  A typical 24 ft RV would probably manage on this but it would depend, of course, on your personal electrical requirements. Most RVs use [less|no more] than 400 watts.  You could begin with one or two solar panels, and add more as and when you feel they are necessary. If you plan to use your RV regularly in hot weather, you will have one or two other things to consider.  You will need a solar-powered battery charger with battery temperature compensation to reduce the danger of damaging your batteries.  Also, solar panels on the roof of an RV can get very [hot|warm], which can [affect|lower] their efficiency and can lead to [voltage drops|a drop in voltage]. Your solar panels will need to be rated at about 17 volts or higher to to stop this becoming a problem.  These are just some things to keep in mind.

You may have seen propane powered electrical generators for sale lately. They are becoming more common all the time. But why switch from a gas powered generator to one of these propane models? Surprisingly, they burn cleaner, more efficiently and are just as cost effective as the old gasoline standby.

First we will examine the environmental impact of using a propane electrical generator. Propane emits less fumes when combusted than gasoline or diesel. It is true that propane still puts CO2 into the air as it is used in the internal combustion engine. Still, the amount is a lot smaller than it would be if you used gasoline. For this reason to do the same amount of work it is less damaging. This is no excuse to pull out all the stops and consume more, though!

Propane is found in a liquid state when it is stored in a steel pressure cylinder. Since so many residences use propane to run the furnace and water heater, they already have a large tank of propane on the premises. In this case a propane generator can provide electricity on demand and can be set up to run over a number of days using this household supply tank.

For a rural home there are few doubts that it would be good to temporarily replace grid power in the event of an emergency. If you had a propane generator of large enough size, it would match the electrical needs of the entire household as a standby generator.
